Is my grief “normal”?
Yes. Grief after the loss of an animal companion is real, valid, and deeply personal. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no timeline you need to follow. Your relationship was unique — your grief will be too.
What if I don’t know what to say?
That’s okay. You don’t need to come with the right words or a clear story. We can begin wherever you are. Silence, tears, memories, or simply sitting together are all welcome.
I feel like others don’t understand how much this hurts.
Many people grieving animals feel this way. Because animals are often seen as “just pets,” the depth of the bond — and the loss — can feel overlooked. This space is created specifically to honor your animal as family.
What happens during a session?
Sessions are spirit-led and guided by conversation, listening, and compassionate presence. There is no agenda or expectation. You are free to share, reflect, and process at your own pace in a calm, supportive environment.
Is this therapy or counseling?
This is heart-centered, talk-based support rather than clinical therapy. It is a supportive space focused on listening, compassion, and emotional care, not diagnosis or treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no set number. Some people find comfort in a single session, while others choose ongoing support. You are welcome to attend as often or as little as feels right for you.
Can I talk about guilt, regret, or difficult emotions?
Yes. All feelings are welcome here — including guilt, anger, confusion, or unfinished thoughts. Grief is complex, and this is a space where you do not need to hold anything back.
Is this support only for the recent loss?
No. Whether your loss was recent or years ago, your grief still matters. You are welcome whenever you feel ready.
Thank you
Wendy
